Saturated Canary Easel card

I wanted to give the Valentine's Cards a little break on my blog, and so I decided to share another project I was working on over the weekend. From the moment I saw the Saturated Canary colour challenge - I knew I wanted to give it a try, as the colour combo - whilst absolutely gorgeous - would rather not be my first choice. Challenging indeed! :-)

I do not own any other SC images other than the one below, and so I decided to use it - who knows, maybe one day I will win some, to add to my collection? ;-) The images are lovely, so winner or not - I will probably end up with a few more in the nearest future anyway ... If you have not seen these before - you should definitely have a peek!

I used Neenah Solar White paper for printing the digi, a few Copics for colouring. The backing paper came free with a crafty magazine (perfect for the challenge!). The brown cardstock is by Papermania. Good old (and currently the only one I own!) Apron Lace Fiskars punch, some Vintage Photo Distress Ink for edging, pearls from the stash and...voila!  Oh, and I used some Spellbinders and XCut dies, too.

I decided to go with an easel card, since I find them very cute and girly - perfect to go with the image and colour combo! I am sure you all know how to create an easel card, but if you would like any help or a tutorial - give me a shout!

Anyhow, here's the card, hope you like it. I forgot to mention - the original image has a Breast Cancer Awareness ribbon on the T-shirt, but I covered it with a little pink flower, to match the background a bit:

I would like to enter the card into the following challenges:
