Hi Everyone,
Just a quick post today - I wanted to share with you my latest project that I made for the Sparkle and Shine challenge. As I looked at the inspiration photo, all I could think of was a sequin umbrella - and so I gave it a go!
I felt like I was channeling my inner Paulina Nakamura from Pretty Pink Posh (she used to make lovely cards of a similar type, using her fabulous sequins!). Unfortunately, I don't own enough of Paulina's sequins to be able to create a rainbow, so I had to use my cheap and cheerful sequins instead :o) Still, the result is not the worst, I think!
I cut the umbrella by hand, just like I recently did with the shamrock here. For the doodled boarders, I used an old Papermania stamp set. I also wanted to use the "Sometimes we need to create our own rainbows" sentiment on the card (which I thought would be very fitting), but in the end I decided that it simply didn't fit on the front, so I printed the sentiment inside the card instead.
I am entering the card into the following challenges:
Sparkle and Shine - Photo Inspiration
QKR Stampede - Spring has sprung
I hope you like my little sequin-crazy creation. Have a great weekend!
