Hello Everyone,
Hope you had a great weekend!
Today, I am sharing with you another rather QAS (quick and simple) card that I made with the free stamp & die set from Altenew (more information about that can be found in my previous post).
This time, instead of first stamping and then die-cutting the flower, I decided to die-cut it first, and then smooshed my inkpad onto the diecut shape - that way, the flower doesn't have the white border around it. I think it looks pretty cool that way, too! I also used black ink for the 3rd layer of the images (for the leaves, it was second generation stamping)
For the rest of the card, I pretty much used a lot of scraps that I had on my craft desk - I think they went pretty well together. I created the background panel by running it multiple times through my Big Shot, using the Lawn Fawn border dies. To ensure that the sentiment was stamped on a strip of paper that matched my rose, I used a strip of white Neenah paper, and again smooshed the same Ranger ink that I used for the rose onto it.
You can't really see it in the photos, but the rose is nice and sparkly thanks to some Wink of Stella glitter pen. What you can see, however, are glue marks around the sentiment & the golden strips of paper - they're not as visible in real life, plus I removed most of them with my adhesive eraser (unfortunately, that was done AFTER I took the photos) :o)
Hope you like it!
Have a great day,
M.
Flower stamp and die & smile sentiment - Freebie from Altenew
Really nice layout - I love the background paper and the colours of the Rose are really fabulous. I've been using my Altenew Inks more and more and they work nicely together because they come as a set in cubes. Xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Ruth! I'd love to give the inks a go, but for now I'm trying to use what I have :-)
DeleteSuch a gorgeous design, love how you added the gold it always adds such an elegance!
