Hello Everyone,
Hope you've had a great weekend! I had lots of fun with my family and friends, and the weather was spectacular - it was probably one of the best weekends in 2016 so far! It also helps that today is a bank holiday in Ireland, and the hubby has a day off! ;o)
I will have some news to announce soon, and unfortunately the news will partially involve a break on my blog (for around 2 months or so), but I promise I won't be gone for longer than I have to! It will be summer anyways - you will all surely be travelling a bit here and there on vacation, so you won't even notice my absence that much...
Today I am sharing another card made with the Altenew freebie that I got with a crafty magazine - I love this stamp and die set! Can you tell I feel very summery?
I created the card for the current challenge taking place on the Altenew blog - you can see the details towards the end of the post.
As you can see, this time I decided to play with yellow shades on my flower - I think it turned out really pretty! All inks used are by Ranger - it's a mix of Distress Inks and Dye Inks (for the flower, I used Squeezed Lemonade, Lemon Twist and Wild Honey; for the background - Squeezed Lemonade, Cracked Pistachio and Mowed Lawn). I also got to play with some of my recently purchased goodies - a haul video will be on my YouTube channel very soon, I promise!
I hope you like the card. It's rather simple in design, but I have to say I'm quite happy with how it turned out. And it looks much better in real life - the colours look much juicier.
I am entering the card into the following challenges:
Altenew - June photo inspiration
CAS-ual Fridays - Florals
SSS Monday Challenge - Summer Garden
Have a great week,
M.
