Hi Everyone,
If you follow me on Instagram, you probably remember that around my daughter's first birthday I asked my crafty friends to send handmade birthday cards for the special occasion. To my huge surprise, I received quite an amount of them (and I am so, so grateful! They'll be such an amazing keepsake!), and now that I have my crafty supplies back - it's time to start working on the thank you cards...
My mojo appears to be slightly shy in this new crafty environment, so the makes are not coming together too quickly (let's face it, it's the lack of free time that is mainly the issue here!), however I am slowly putting some cards together, and am hoping to be able to send out the first batch soonish enough. Oh, sometimes I wish I was better at mass producing cards, but I really just prefer to make each of them unique...
Anyhow, since my last post and video, I had the new Altenew stampset on my desk, and decided to put it to (hopefully) good use. It just so happens, that I also recently splurged on a MISTI, and so the new "toy" and the layering stamps felt like the perfect choice. Long story short - I LOVE THEM! Both! Many have said it before me, and I am sure many still will follow - the Misti is an amazing tool! Yes, it's overpriced, but boy it is so much fun, and makes me less scared of trying out different designs, techniques, stamping sentiments at the very end, etc... Oh, I was a happy camper-stamper! :o)
Here's the card I made - not 100% happy with it, but it's the best I could put together during the baba's nap. And in fairness, the more I look at it, the more I like it! :o) And what I am mostly impressed with, is the fact that these flowers are stamped with Distress Inks - layering is key here - thank you MISTI!
I am entering the card into the following challenges:
Altenew - Photo inspiration
SSS - Anything goes (Wednesday challenge)
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a great Friday and weekend,
Mirella
