Hi Everyone,
To those of you who are celebrating today - Happy Thanksgiving! I have to admit, with all the Christmas preparation craze - fair play to all of you who also need to prepare for Turkey Day - so much work!
Today I am sharing with you a CAS card I created for the Little Tangles challenge. You know that I'm not really a CAS gal, and I find those very clean designs rather challenging, but I tried my best! I embossed the background with a die (and used the clever trick I learned from Jennifer McGuire, where you ink up your die before embossing, and you get a nice thin coloured line embedded into the cardstock), and then created a little glittery scene for Mr and Mrs Penguin, so that they can enjoy their date night with all the sparkle! I also glammed them up a bit with some little bows covered in Glossy Accents - I am not sure why I have stopped using my Glossy Accents for a while - the gloss is simply so fab! And, of course, there is also some Wink of Stella on top of it all - it might be CAS, but at least let me keep my sparkle! ;o)
I had no sentiment from Neat and Tangled that would be small enough for this scene, hence I used "Winter Wonderland" from my stash - it's a set that was a freebie with a crafty magazine some years ago, came really handy now!
I hope you like my CAS attempt. I swear this card is square - I am not sure why it's coming out so wonky in the photos :o(
I love how the reverse side of the front panel looks - I think this side could just as easily be used as the front!
I am entering the card into the following challenges:
Little Tangles - CAS
SSS Wednesday Challenge - Christmas to die for
I love ProMarkers - No patterned paper
MAWTT - Anything goes with Christmas
Seven Hills Crafts - Inspired by a Christmas song (Winter Wonderland)
Have a great day, and check out my YouTube channel later today if you like haul videos! :o)
