Round birthday celebrations with Concord and 9th "Floral and Flutter"

Hi Everyone,

Hope you're having a fantastic weekend.

Today I am sharing with you a card that I made for a crafty friend for a very special occasion - her Grandmother in law is soon celebrating her 100th (!) birthday, and so Kristina is having a call/giveaway, where she is asking fellow crafters to make & send her cards made especially for this important event.  I just had to participate - I mean, 100th birthday? One doesn't get to make cards for such occasions often!

You can find more information about this call/challenge here

I really wanted to use my Concord & 9th "Floral and Flutter" die (since I've had it forever and haven't used it yet!), and this is what I came up with... Yes, you might recognise the design from another round birthday card call that I participated in a while ago - I think it's a nice layout :o) Funnily enough, I also used Concord & 9th products on the original card, which is actually something that I only realised now!

I kept the card rather simple, but I think the end result is quite nice. I hope the birthday girl likes it!

I am entering the card into the following challenges:
Where Creativity Meets C9 - Sparkle and Shine
Moving Along With The Times - Numbers or Letters
The Flower Challenge - Occasion

Have a great day,

Mirella

  1. It's beautiful! I love the colours and I love the layout. The flowers clustering round he outside give it a nice frame and lots of depth. Thank you so much for playing along in the Flower Challenge this month. Ruth DT xx

    1. Thank you so much! Have fun with the die set! I've had it for very long and only got to use it now which is a pity... but better late than never :-)

  8. This is great! When I clicked on the small image to bring me to your site, I actually thought it was quilling. Which is ironic, since your header IS quilling. :) Thanks for joining us at Where Creativity Meets C9!
