I have a sick baba at home, hence will need to keep this post rather short. I was worried that I wouldn't manage to enter the final 5th stage of Anna Kossakovskaya's CASometry challenge, but thankfully working on the card at night was sufficient... talk about sacrifice ;o)
This time, the challenge was to use the same stamps, dies and stencils that have been used on one of the previous 4 cards. I knew straight away that I would like to challenge myself with my card from stage 4 - I used a lot of dies and stamp sets there, so I wanted to see what else I could make out of these same supplies. I am not sure, maybe if I had a little bit more time, I would have come up with something a bit more original, but I am still quite happy with the result.

I Love ProMarkers - Girl's Birthday (this is a card for a friend whose bday I forgot)
As you can see, this time I did lots of fussy cutting (birdie & fence), and instead of making my background with stencils made out of my dies & acetate, I decided to use the dies directly on my panel. The grass is die cut, and the clouds were embossed onto the panel, with the use of the die. I also sponged the coloured cardstock with my Distress Inks here and there, to add a little bit of dimension and variety to the scene - plain coloured cardstock on its own can be quite "flat" looking. Unfortunately, the photos didn't capture the depth of colour too nicely (apart from maybe the 2nd photo where you can kind of see it) - it's very gloomy here today, I'm afraid.
The sentiment is from the WPlus9 stamp set I used the balloon from last time. And yes, the birdie has a googly eye again, but that's mostly because a) I find them funny & cute and b) he looks really scared & worried that he forgot, LOL!
And here are all the cards I made for Anna's challenge. I had so much fun with these, and I'm so happy that I managed to participate in all of the stages!

This is too cute - I LOVE the googly eye. I'm so sorry that you have a sick baby. It's horrid when they are ill, and they need you so much then you feel a bit guilty about wanting to go and craft..... you managed it though! Love the dies direct to the card stock. Xx
