Woohoo - Paper Smooches Chubby Chums

Hi Everyone,

This is most likely my last post in 2017 - here's to an exciting 2018 for all of us!

I am doing a quick card share with you today - a cheerful WOOHOO card with "Chubby Chums" by Paper Smooches. I absolutely adore that stamp set, and truth be told I'm surprised that I don't use it more often - I guess I simply have too many stamp sets to play with to go back to some sets more frequently?! 

Either way, the chums are so versatile - great for both kids and adults, as they're so much fun! They're also very quick and easy to colour, which often helps! I love using them with googly eyes, too - adds a bit of an additional fun factor to the already "crazy" characters. This time, however, I opted only for some Glossy Accents on the eyes. The quick colouring was done with ProMarkers, and I also added a few details (OK, a bit more than a few, I couldn't stop!) with my white gel pen.

Having fun with Altenew

Hi Everyone,

Are you having a good Christmas? Ours is all about the toddler this year, and we are enjoying it immensely! We got so many gifts for our little one from family and friends that we had to divide them into a few "sessions" - so it's a Christmas that just keeps on giving! And we're not done yet! ;o)

Anyhow, today I want to share a non-Christmassy card again - the last few days just before Christmas were the ones when I tried forgetting about all the wintery designs, and get something "warmer" and more spring-like done. 

I had loads of fun playing with the new to me stencil by Altenew (I will be using it more for sure, the result is so cool!), and their layering stamp sets are always a joy to take out and play with! I didn't have any particular person or occasion in mind when making the card, hence I opted for a "Hello" sentiment - this way, I can use it for pretty much any reason, which often comes handy! 

Hope you like the card, I am especially in love with the fun background!

Have a lovely day balloon card with Simon Says Stamp

Hi Everyone,

Just like I promised in my last post - today I am sharing with you a card I put together super quickly - all thanks to the fact that I used the die cut balloon shapes as masks on my last card. That way, the die cuts were all coloured up at the same time as I was inking up my background. I love when I can get two cards done in one sitting! 

It took literally a few minutes to put this one together - I placed the balloons on a grey panel & adhered them in the spaces I thought were best, next I added some silver glitter paper strips on each side of the panel, and adhered the whole lot to a white card base. I stamped a sentiment, added a few confetti style sequins, and voila!

Rainbow birthday card with Simon Says Stamp

Hi Everyone,

All ready for Christmas?! :o) I am most definitely not when it goes to food prep and cooking, but since this year it's only the 3,5 of us (Hubby, myself, the little Toddler and Bump) - we're not really planning on going too crazy. At least all my Christmas cards & packets have been posted (and I think most, if not all, arrived to their destinations) - I didn't have enough for everyone, but I am still happy enough with the amount I did have! 

I took a small break from crafting for a few days, and now that I came back to my craft room, I decided I needed to work on something totally non-Christmassy. Rainbows it is (again), so! :o) Hubby's birthday is tomorrow, and whilst I had a few suitable cards in my stash, I decided to make him something new and fresh. Rainbows are ok for guys, too, right? 

I decided to play with my very favourite Distress Inks. I used the Simon Says Stamp Balloons dies, and - instead of using masking paper - I used regular cardstock with some removable adhesive on the back for my masking. This way I got a bonus - I could make another card with the colourful die cut balloons - I'll share that soon! It's so much fun to be able to make two cards in one sitting - it's not exactly something I achieve every time I craft! 

I had to bling up the card a little bit, masculine or not, and I opted for some splatters with Perfect Pearls, and... my new love - the HoneyBee Stamps Bokeh Lights Confetti Mix. I.LOVE.THEM! So cool, they go with pretty much everything, and they come in different sizes - what's not to love? You'll be seeing more of these on my coming projects, I'm afraid, so get used to them ;o)

And here's the card - I hope you like it! I am pretty pleased with it, especially at this time of the year, when there's barely any sunshine and/or colour around! It makes me smile - and hopefully, it will make the Hubby smile on his birthday, too!
