Hi Everyone,
Today, I am sharing a very quick card I recently made. Surely, the whole card would take a little bit time to make, however, my life was made easier for me by a crafty friend who sent me loads of her alcohol ink backgrounds to play with :o)
I love the look of alcohol ink backgrounds that have been all the craze in the card-making world recently, but I didn't want to spend a fortune on the inks and necessary tools (they're not super expensive, but to have a nice range of colours and all, it would for sure be an investment)... Therefore, I decided not to branch out to this technique (for now, LOL). However, a lovely crafty friend of mine was experimenting LOADS with her inks and papers, and when she saw how supportive and enthusiastic I was about her backgrounds, she decided to send me some - crafty friends are truly the best!
Now you can understand why the card took me only a short while to make - once I had the background, I just had to somehow embellish it and put it on a card base. Since the colours are so vivid, I opted for a few simple white die-cuts (I adhered a few layers together for a bit of dimension), and a white card base. I think it turned out really really nicely! :o)
Truth be told, now I want my own alcohol inks and yupo paper even more, but I'll try to refrain from getting them for a while... Let's see what happens in the coming weeks... ;o)
I am entering the card into the following challenges:
Foiled Fox - Sparkle with us
Do you have alcohol inks? Do you use them a lot? I can't wait to read your comments!
Have a great day,
Mirella

Please note that I am not including the alcohol inks or foils used on this card, as I am not 100% certain which products my friend used
The white die cuts really pop on your bold colourful background!
