Hi Everyone,
Has spring come to you, wherever you are? Here in Helsinki, we are still waiting... It's still rather cold, and we had a snow storm on Monday - can you believe it, a snow storm in April? It's rather unusual even for this corner of the world!
I am trying to make a lot of floral cards, to make myself feel better, and maybe also to convince spring that it's time to wake up! :o)
Today's card was inspired by the Distress Oxide Water Painting technique, introduced by the wonderful Jennifer McGuire. I love how simple and effective this technique is, and I will definitely be using it more often, especially when I'm short for time - you can make really lovely cards in almost no time!
Instead of only water, I used my shimmer/glitter pen to colour over the Distress Inks - that way, I also got some additional sparkle on my card. Looooove me some sparkle!
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
SSS Wednesday Challenge - Happy birthday
SSS Monday Challenge - A trio of somethung
Isn't it really pretty? For a card that took maybe 20-30 minutes to make, I think it's pretty impressive! You should try this, too! If you do, and you share your makes on Instagram, feel free to tag me - I'd love to see what you made!
Have a great day,
Mirella

Very pretty card, the softness from the oxides goes so well with the stamp.
