Hi Everyone,
Long time no see! I have disappeared from the crafty world for a while (don't worry, I am fine, life simply got a bit busier recently than anticipated!), and it will probably still take me a while to come back on a regular basis, but I am popping in today, to share with you my new Get Cracking on Christmas 2021 make.
If you are new to Get Cracking on Christmas, please check out Jenn's blog here - she is the master-mind behind this initiative, and is the best one to explain it! :o)
I am planning to have 2 Christmas cards made this month, as always, but for now I am sharing only one with you - once the second one is finished (it's in the making!), I might add it here at a later stage.
It's hard to get back to crafting after a long break, at least I find it quite intimidating, so today's card is rather simple, but absolutely adorable! As you will see, I opted for rather non-traditional Christmas colours (love the pink/turquoise combo!), and kept the scene quite simple, as I wanted that super cute image to be the main focus of the card. I hope you like it:
The background was created with some paste & a stencil, and I simply popped the coloured images on top of it, with foam tape. The scarves, hats and light bulbs are sparkly, but it's hard to capture the sparkle in photos, sorry!
Isn't it fun and cute?
Do you like using non-traditional colours on your Christmas cards, or are you more of a traditionalist? I can't wait to hear your preference!
Stay safe and crafty,
Mirella
