Hi Everyone,
Can you believe that it's July already? We're past the half-way point to Christmas, eek! Are you getting ready with us? I hope so! But if not, it's not too late to join in on the fun! :o)
If you are unfamiliar with the Get Cracking on Christmas initiative, please check out Jenn Shurkus's blog here.
This month, we are celebrating "Christmas in July", and so some of us might have sweet surprises/giveaways for you! Want to know what mine is? Keep reading!
I made three cards this month - all very alike, but at the same time slightly different. If you know me, you know that I am not one for mass-producing, and I pride myself in making all of my cards one of a kind (unless specifically requested otherwise). Looking at the photos and the cards themselves now, I find it pretty fascinating that all of these started with just a white sheet of watercolour paper... What a transformation!
I won't go into huge amount of detail of how I made these, as there isn't really much into it. The first two were simply a result of me playing with watercolours, or with watered down Distress Inks mixed with Liquid Pixie Dust, to be more precise. The third background was made by using up the remaining ink/paint I had on my glass mat, with different brush strokes, and a slightly drier brush. Add to that some heat embossing, a tiny bit of die-cutting, and a whole lotta mixed bling, and voila!
And, I must say a big thank you to Jenn herself - it was a card that I received from her that inspired me to go with that design! <3
The shimmer on these is insane, and I love the non-traditional colours, too! It's recently something I have been really enjoying on my Christmas creations.
Now, for the GIVEAWAY part.
Edited on August 1st: The winner is SUZANNE H, congratulations! Please message me via the "contact me" tab, with the prize you want to receive from my destash page, and your address.
I am giving away 1 stamp set (with coordinating dies, if applicable) or 1 die set, up to the value of €15, from my Destash Page (@destashbymirella) - so the real value of the item you choose might be higher than that, really, since my destash prices are of course already reduced in comparison to the original prices of the products. There are both new and used stamps/dies there, so it's up to you what you want to choose!
Rules?
- be my follower on Instagram (@handmadebymirella), following my destash page (@destashbymirella) is optional
- leave me a comment here, letting me know what caught your eye on the destash page (that doesn't mean that this is what you have to choose as your prize, if you are the winner - we can agree on that later)
- I will choose the winner on the 1st of August, and announce them here in this blog post. The winner will then have 2 weeks to contact me, via the "Contact me" tab on the blog.
- Please note that I cannot guarantee that all of the items currently listed on my destash page will still be available there on and after August 1st, since I might make sales from it in the meantime. But I do hope that you will find something for yourself there either way :o)
- open internationally, if for some reason I am unable to post the prize out, due to Covid 19 restrictions, we'll come up with a solution, I'm sure!
Stay safe and crafty,
Mirella
